Job Description

The Production/Material Planner is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the production process at perma USA via weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met. The Production/Material Planner determines material, equipment, and labor requirements, including a focus on customer requirements and anticipated demands. Also, the role includes preparation of status and performance reports, and to resolve production issues. As Production/Material Planner, the role creates and maintains production schedules in order to ensure that all company goals are achieved and deadlines are met. They solve production problems, seek to improve processes, and must therefore have a strong understanding of the production process. WHO WE LOOK FOR • Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related fields preferred • Minimum 2 years of job experience in Planning/Scheduling in an ERP/MRP system (SAP, abas or similar) • On the job experience in high mix, low volume manufacturing operations incl. scheduling & inventory control preferred • Understanding of ERP/MRP schedules, capacity planning & financial objectives • High proficiency in Excel, excellent computer literacy skills • Ability to create production plans, incl. targets & target deviations • Excellent organizational, planning & time management skills • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, coordinate, take decisive action & work with attention to detail • Strong problem-solving skills as well as sound judgement, creativity & a pro-active, result-driven mindset • High degree of self-motivation, multi-tasking and team spirit • Excellent presentation & communication skills up to Senior Management level • Must work efficiently under pressure & create an environment promoting teamwork & accountability WHAT WE EXPECT • Preparation, adaption & assertion of Production schedules to meet customer & internal requirements • Plan, prepare, disseminate & communicate schedules for input & decision-making to all relevant stakeholders • Inventory planning in coordination with Purchasing to ensure timely & accurate delivery of orders, incl. material transfer • Continuous optimization of Production schedules incl. changes based on shifting priorities, e.g. emergencies • Alignment of customer commitments, production schedules & financial forecast for accurate customer scheduling • Participation in forecast meetings & organization of any required planning meetings • Collaboration with various departments to resolve supply chain constraints, fluctuating demand & rejected parts • Coordination of phase in/phase out during product launches, revisions & changes to supplier/production lists • Maintenance of Production list incl. tact times per product machine combinations • Monitoring of finished goods inventory by product to ensure parts availability WHAT WE OFFER Extensive further training and development possibilities Attractive compensation and social benefits Pleasant working environment in a team driven atmosphere
