Food Stylist

Kim Kissling is a food stylist.  A Food Stylist is the person who prepares the foods that are to be photographed that will be used in marketing and in publications and magazines.  A Food Stylist is an artist that requires a knowledge of food science to be able to create the displayed food that is to be photographed.  You have to be able to cook the foods at the studio and work closely with the photographer.  It is a time sensitive occupation and has its pressures since food is affected by the environment of the set.  Best to learn cooking and food science then become an apprentice to learn the tricks of the trade.
